Position: Lead Database Administrator
Compensation: $120,000- $150,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Full Remote
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Database Administrator to join their team!
This is a standout opportunity to step into a newly created DBA function and make an immediate impact. You’ll support critical SQL and Oracle environments for multiple teams, helping ensure performance, reliability, and strong day-to-day database operations. If you enjoy being hands-on, solving complex issues, and partnering closely with application teams, this role offers a high-visibility seat with plenty of room to shape the foundation of the team.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Administer and support SQL and Oracle database environments
- Perform backups, restores, and recovery procedures
- Manage user administration and access controls
- Handle SQL builds, tuning, and performance optimization
- Support log shipping and replication processes
- Troubleshoot database issues and resolve alerts
- Partner with application teams to support system needs
- Maintain database stability and operational continuity
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong SQL database administration experience
- Experience with Oracle database administration
- Background in backups, restores, and user administration
- Hands-on experience with performance tuning
- Experience supporting application-facing databases
- Knowledge of log shipping and replication
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with SQL Enterprise
- Familiarity with AWR reports
- Experience managing Oracle alerts
- Broader exposure to mixed database environments
- Comfort working in a newly established team

- 100% remote opportunity with as needed travel to Houston
- Direct hire position
