Position: Sr Category Manager
Compensation: $115,000 – $130,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Houston, Texas
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Sr Category Manager to join their team!
This is a high-impact direct hire opportunity for a strategic sourcing professional who thrives in a senior individual contributor role. You’ll own complex categories, lead sourcing initiatives from strategy through execution, and play a key role in driving measurable business value. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong supplier relationships, influencing stakeholders, and delivering smart commercial solutions across a broad spend portfolio.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Lead end-to-end sourcing and category strategy development
- Manage commercial negotiations and contract execution
- Build business cases and present recommendations to leadership
- Oversee supplier performance and drive continuous improvement
- Partner with stakeholders across multiple technical categories
- Support procurement decisions with strong market and spend analysis
- Deliver measurable value through strategic sourcing initiatives
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in strategic category management or sourcing
- Background supporting complex, technical spend categories
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical and presentation capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple categories and priorities
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Midstream or oil and gas industry experience
- Experience with integrity services, chemicals, or inspections
- Exposure to E&I or industrial operations categories
- Experience driving large spend initiatives
- Prior success in a senior individual contributor role
