Position: Electrical Designer
Compensation: $28 – $34 /hour, depending on experience
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Electrical Designer to join their team!
This is a strong opportunity for an experienced electrical design professional to support impactful project work in a collaborative, multi-discipline environment. You’ll contribute to electrical plans, schematics, layouts, and construction documentation while working closely with project teams to help deliver high-quality design solutions. The role offers hands-on involvement across a variety of project phases, with the chance to make a real contribution from concept through completion.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Develop electrical schematics, layouts, and design deliverables
- Prepare drawings from sketches, notes, and design information
- Support design calculations and drawing production tasks
- Revise drawings using redlines and ongoing project updates
- Apply design codes, standards, and project specifications
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and designers
- Maintain organized project files, revisions, and plot records
- Support site evaluations, reports, and construction documentation
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in drafting technology or related field with 2 years’ experience
- Associate degree with 3 years’ related experience
- High school diploma with 4 years’ progressive design experience
- Experience with electrical design and drafting work
- Ability to work on-site in Phoenix, AZ
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Legally authorized to work in the country without sponsorship
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- CAD background with GIS experience
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Proficiency with Excel
- Ability to use both 2D and 3D design applications
- Familiarity with electrical systems and design concepts
- Experience supporting post-design construction activities
- Exposure to procurement processes for station materials
- Comfort working in a multi-discipline project team
