Position: Databricks Engineer
Compensation: $65 – 72 /hour, depending on experience
Location: Kansas City, Missouri
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Databricks Engineer to join their team!
This is a strong opportunity for a hands-on data professional who enjoys building scalable pipelines, improving data quality, and supporting enterprise analytics. You’ll work on impactful data solutions that help transform raw information into reliable, consumable datasets for downstream teams. This role offers the chance to contribute to a modern data environment with room to make a visible impact.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Design and maintain scalable data pipelines.
- Transform raw data into clean, usable datasets.
- Build ETL and ELT workflows using modern tools.
- Optimize SQL queries and troubleshoot pipeline issues.
- Support data governance, lineage, and metadata practices.
- Develop RESTful API integrations for data exchange.
- Collaborate with analytics and product teams.
- Monitor pipeline health and improve reliability.
- Contribute to lightweight web application development.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 8+ years of related professional experience.
- Strong Python and PySpark development skills.
- Advanced SQL for analysis and performance tuning.
- Experience with Dataform, Dataproc, and BigQuery.
- Understanding of data governance best practices.
- Hands-on Git and CI/CD experience.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Some web application development experience.
- Authorized to work without sponsorship.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Databricks pipeline experience.
- Infrastructure as Code knowledge.
- DBT or machine learning familiarity.
- Kafka and Confluent experience.
- Cloud Scheduler or Dataflow exposure.
- Node.js, TypeScript, or React experience.
- OpenAPI, Orval, or Zod familiarity.
- PostgreSQL and ORM experience.
