Position: Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity Engineer
Compensation: $150,000 – $170,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Houston, Texas, Hybrid
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity Engineer to join their team!
This is a strong opportunity for a security professional who enjoys protecting complex environments and shaping secure solutions across both on-premises and cloud OT networks. In this role, you’ll help strengthen defenses, support critical projects, and contribute to a highly technical security program with broad visibility and impact.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Design and support security architecture for OT environments
- Assess current controls and recommend security improvements
- Identify vulnerabilities and help drive remediation efforts
- Support security incidents with timely analysis and response
- Guide projects with secure design and control requirements
- Review risk assessments and support customer audits
- Maintain and improve security systems, standards, and procedures
- Partner across IT teams to strengthen enterprise security posture
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- 7+ years of technical security or security engineering experience
- Hands-on knowledge of GDPR, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, and NIST CSF
- Experience with IEC 62443 security standards
- Current CISSP, CASP+, or similar certification required
- Experience conducting or reviewing security risk assessments
- Ability to communicate security issues and recommendations clearly
- Willingness to travel 15%–20% as needed
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with security audits based on IEC 62443
- Background supporting cloud security architecture
- Familiarity with intrusion detection and prevention systems
- Experience with endpoint monitoring tools
- Knowledge of data loss prevention solutions
- Understanding of firewalls and network traffic monitoring
- Experience with SIEM platforms and security logging
- Exposure to cloud configuration and secure deployment practices
