Position: Senior Tax Specialist
Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Edmond, Oklahoma
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Senior Tax Specialist to join their team!
This is a strong direct hire opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys variety, ownership, and client-facing work. In this role, you’ll support a respected accounting team by preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, solving technical tax questions, and helping junior staff deliver high-quality work. Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
- Research complex tax issues and determine proper treatment
- Support junior staff with tax questions and guidance
- Communicate with clients about missing items and follow-up needs
- Maintain accurate workpapers and engagement documentation
- Manage multiple tax engagements and meet deadlines
- Stay current on federal and state tax law changes
- Assist with special tax projects as needed
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- 3-5+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Strong technical knowledge of tax compliance and planning
- Experience preparing and reviewing multiple return types
- Proficiency with Lacerte tax software
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- CPA or CPA-eligible status
- Experience with SmartVault document management
- Familiarity with Podio workflow management
- Prior experience supporting junior team members
- Exposure to busy-season tax workflow management
