Position: Software Engineer- Platform
Compensation: $ 130000 – 160000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Full Remote
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Software Engineer- Platform to join their team!
This is a strong opportunity for a hands-on platform engineer who wants to shape the internal tools and infrastructure that help other engineering teams move faster and deliver more reliably. In this role, you’ll work across source control, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability, secrets management, incident response, and internal AI tooling. You’ll join a lean team, influence technical standards, and make a real impact on developer experience and platform reliability.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Own and improve internal developer platform tools and workflows
- Design and maintain CI/CD standards and GitHub workflows
- Build reusable Terraform modules for safe cloud provisioning
- Standardize local development environments using Dev Containers
- Support secrets, feature flags, and environment configuration management
- Create dashboards and alerts to improve reliability visibility
- Enhance incident response workflows, runbooks, and postmortems
- Collaborate with engineering teams on scalable platform solutions
- Contribute to internal AI tooling governance and usability
- Partner on architecture decisions and engineering standards
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Background in platform, infrastructure, or systems engineering
- Strong C# or F# development experience on .NET Core
- Experience with minimal APIs, hosted services, or serverless tools
- Hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL
- Experience with event-driven messaging platforms
- Strong GitHub knowledge, including branching and CI/CD workflows
- Experience with Terraform and reusable infrastructure modules
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Dev Containers or similar development tooling
- Experience with Doppler or other secrets management platforms
- Experience with LaunchDarkly or feature flagging tools
- Experience building dashboards in Grafana
- Familiarity with Incident.io or incident management processes
- Experience with AWS cloud services
- Interest in internal AI tools, skills, or agent marketplaces
- Comfort making tradeoffs between performance, reliability, and cost
