Position: Field Service Engineer
Compensation: $ 70000-80000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Field Service Engineer to join their team!
This is a strong opportunity for a hands-on technical professional who enjoys solving complex equipment challenges and supporting customers directly in the field. You’ll work with advanced analytical X-ray systems, helping keep critical instruments running at peak performance through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Perform preventive maintenance on analytical X-ray systems
- Troubleshoot equipment issues using diagnostic tools
- Repair and verify instrument performance after service
- Coordinate customer support calls and on-site visits
- Prepare travel plans and expense reports
- Document service completion and customer acceptance
- Communicate with internal support teams
- Attend product training as required
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of equipment repair experience
- Background in mechanical, electromechanical, or electronic systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Basic understanding of network interfacing
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to travel regularly
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with high voltage circuitry
- Exposure to analog electronics
- Knowledge of vacuum systems
- Familiarity with laser technology
- Experience supporting scientific equipment
- Passport or international travel readiness

Other Information:
- Frequent Monday through Friday travel is required
- Some weekend and holiday work may be needed
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds is required
- Role involves working directly with customers
- International travel may be required
