Position: Cost Accountant
Compensation: $90,000-$95,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Boulder, CO
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Cost Accountant to join their team!
This is a strong opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys owning core cost accounting and month-end responsibilities in a manufacturing environment. You’ll play a key role in keeping financial data accurate, supporting inventory controls, and helping drive better visibility into plant performance. Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Process and analyze manufacturing cost transactions
- Review and adjust direct sales cost of goods sold
- Prepare journal entries and month-end close activities
- Analyze inventory balances and cycle count results
- Record monthly period costs and manufacturing variances
- Establish and review standard costs
- Prepare account reconciliations and financial reports
- Analyze budget versus actual manufacturing variances
- Support annual and internal audit activities
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- Equivalent education and experience may be considered
- At least 3 years of accounting experience
- At least 1 year of cost accounting experience
- Manufacturing environment experience required
- Strong Excel skills
- Knowledge of GAAP principles
- Understanding of standard cost structures
- Experience with integrated accounting systems
- Strong communication and analytical skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with inventory controls
- Background in month-end close processes
- Exposure to financial reporting
- Experience supporting audit requests
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Strong problem-solving mindset
