Position: Cost Accountant
Compensation: $90,000 – $95,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Boulder, CO
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Cost Accountant to join their team!
This is a strong opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working in a manufacturing environment. In this role, you’ll support cost accounting, month-end close, inventory analysis, and financial reporting while helping maintain accurate and timely cost records.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Process and analyze manufacturing cost transactions.
- Review direct sales cost of goods sold activity.
- Prepare journal entries and month-end close support.
- Analyze inventory reserves and manufacturing variances.
- Audit cycle counts and review inventory balances.
- Post direct labor hours and standard costs.
- Complete account reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Support annual audit and internal audit activities.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least three years of accounting experience.
- At least one year of cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with integrated accounting systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with standard cost structures.
- Background in inventory controls and variance analysis.
- Familiarity with financial reporting processes.
- Experience supporting year-end audits.
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations.
