Position: Solutions Engineer
Compensation: $60 – 70 /hour, depending on experience
Location: Houston, Texas
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Solutions Engineer to join their team!
This is a unique opportunity to step into a highly visible, technical role supporting field operations through smart, practical solutions. You’ll act as the engineering SME for the Applications team, translating real-world operational needs into software-ready requirements. If you enjoy solving problems, collaborating cross-functionally, and making a direct impact on end users, this role offers a strong opportunity to grow with a respected organization.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Serve as the engineering subject matter expert for the Applications team
- Translate field needs into software requirements
- Support tools used by drilling teams in the field
- Partner with software teams to improve product functionality
- Provide engineering input for gas compressor-related work
- Travel to field offices monthly
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders on technical solutions
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 1-5 years of petroleum or mechanical engineering experience
- Experience at an oil and gas company
- Strong internship experience may be considered
- Exposure to supporting drilling operations preferred
- Interest in learning software development workflows
- Results-oriented and dependable approach
- Ability to work onsite full time
- Willingness to travel to field offices monthly
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience working with drilling teams
- Exposure to gas compressor projects
- Comfort collaborating with software teams
- Interest in bridging engineering and technology
