Position: Server Technician
Compensation: $60,000-70,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Carrollton, Texas
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Server Technician to join their team!
This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced server hardware professional who enjoys solving complex technical problems and keeping high-performance equipment ready for customer deployment. In this role, you’ll work with enterprise servers from configuration through testing, helping ensure every system meets quality and performance standards before it ships.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Configure and validate enterprise servers to match customer requirements
- Update firmware and adjust BIOS, RAID, and remote management settings
- Install and troubleshoot CPUs, memory, drives, RAID cards, and adapters
- Run diagnostics and stress tests to confirm hardware reliability
- Identify and resolve hardware, firmware, and configuration issues
- Document work accurately and follow quality control procedures
- Support and train junior technicians as needed
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years of enterprise server hardware experience
- Strong knowledge of server architecture and troubleshooting
- Experience with Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Supermicro, or similar platforms
- Hands-on experience with BIOS, firmware, and RAID setup
- Familiarity with iDRAC, iLO, or similar management tools
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable lifting and moving equipment up to 50 pounds
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience mentoring or leading technicians
- Background in server refurbishment or systems integration
- Data center or warehouse-based hardware experience
- Network configuration experience
- Commercial switch testing and configuration experience
- CompTIA A+, Server+, or similar certification
