Position: OT Field Specialist
Compensation: $45 – $65 /hour, depending on experience
Location: Carthage, Texas
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled OT Field Support Specialist to join their team!
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Monitor OT infrastructure, systems, and networks for performance issues
- Provide hands-on technical support across field sites
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and infrastructure issues
- Support OT systems, network topology, and infrastructure
- Assist with hardware/software configuration, installation, and deployment
- Partner with senior engineers on system performance and optimization
- Support system testing, disaster recovery, and recovery exercises
- Work with Operations, OT NOC, Project Managers, and Corporate IT
- Document issues, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or vendors
- Identify process improvement and automation opportunities
- Participate in knowledge sharing and technical training
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 2+ years of relevant IT infrastructure, systems, network, or technical support experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and infrastructure
- Working knowledge of network administration and installations
- Understanding of system administration, monitoring, and configuration
- Knowledge of IT security fundamentals
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently in a field environment
- Ability to travel regularly between sites
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- OT or industrial environment experience
- Oil & gas, midstream, manufacturing, or utilities experience
- Experience supporting gas plants or compressor stations
- LAN/WAN and network infrastructure knowledge
- System monitoring or performance management experience
- Disaster recovery/system recovery experience
- Automation or process improvement experience
- Vendor and third-party support experience
- Systems integration experience
