Position: Desktop Support Technician
Compensation: $30 – $34 /hour, depending on experience
Location: Carlsbad, NM
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join their team!
This opportunity supports a field desktop support team in Carlsbad, providing hands-on technical assistance across office users and local equipment. The role offers a mix of in-person troubleshooting, asset management, and end-user support in a fast-paced environment. It is a strong fit for someone who enjoys solving technical issues, working directly with users, and contributing to reliable day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Provide L1-L2 support for office-based users and visiting employees
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, printers, phones, and AV issues
- Support iPhones, iPads, desk phones, and computers
- Log, track, and update support tickets in the service system
- Provision and de-provision IT assets for employees
- Maintain accurate records and support documentation
- Manage local IT stockroom and asset inventory
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams
- Support equipment testing, monitoring, and basic modifications
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Associate’s degree in a computer-related field or equivalent training
- 2-4 years of relevant desktop support experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Solid customer service and problem-solving abilities
- Basic knowledge of iPhones, iPads, and computer hardware
- Experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Office
- Experience using ServiceNow or similar ITSM ticketing tools
- Ability to work independently with moderate supervision
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Apple Business Manager
- Experience supporting an MDM platform
- Familiarity with AI tools
- Experience with internet directory services software
