Position: Database Administrator
Compensation: $100,000 – $130,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Database Administrator to join their team!
This is a strong opportunity for a database professional who enjoys performance tuning, problem-solving, and working in a hands-on enterprise environment. You’ll support a small, collaborative DBA team while gaining exposure to Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL across production systems that are critical to the business. The role offers real ownership, mentorship from a senior DBA, and the chance to contribute to meaningful optimization and modernization efforts.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Analyze Oracle execution plans and resolve performance issues
- Support RAC and Data Guard administration in production
- Monitor database health using enterprise tools and diagnostics
- Troubleshoot locking, contention, and wait event issues
- Administer SQL Server environments across on-premises and cloud systems
- Support PostgreSQL standards and cloud database growth
- Assist with patching, upgrades, testing, and migration activities
- Document processes, runbooks, and operational standards
- Partner with development and QA teams on tuning recommendations
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 3+ years of hands-on DBA experience in production environments
- Production experience with Oracle 19c or a similar recent version
- Strong ability to read and interpret Oracle execution plans
- Working knowledge of AWR, ASH, and ADDM
- Strong SQL skills and ability to review PL/SQL code
- Exposure to SQL Server administration responsibilities
- Exposure to PostgreSQL and interest in growing those skills
- Genuine interest in performance tuning and database optimization
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Oracle RAC and Data Guard experience
- SQL Plan Management or SQL Profiles experience
- SQL Server tuning with Query Store and execution plans
- Experience with cloud-hosted database services
- Oracle Enterprise Manager experience
- Oracle patching, version upgrades, or migration support
- Oracle APEX or ORDS exposure
- Technical documentation or runbook development experience
