Position: Middle Layer Software Developer
Compensation: $40 – 48/hour, depending on experience
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Middle Layer Software Developer to join their team!
This is a long-term contract opportunity supporting internal and external applications that connect front-end experiences to back-end data. You’ll work on modern .NET services, helping shape reliable APIs, improve business logic, and strengthen data access across a stable environment with a strong pipeline of ongoing work.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Build and maintain REST APIs in C# and .NET 6+
- Develop business logic for internal and external applications
- Use Dapper to retrieve data from SQL Server
- Implement Hangfire recurring jobs for cached data refreshes
- Create paginated endpoints with clear error handling
- Write maintainable code with logging and unit tests
- Support data access design and service enhancements
- Work within existing systems and improve service reliability
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in API development and business logic implementation
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET 6+
- Hands-on experience building REST APIs
- Experience using Dapper with SQL Server
- Experience with JSON serialization
- Strong LINQ knowledge
- Experience creating paginated endpoints
- Experience with error handling, logging, and unit testing
- Ability to learn and support complex existing systems
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Hangfire recurring jobs
- Background supporting cache refresh processes
- Experience enhancing existing backend services
