Position: Accounting Manager
Compensation: $ 80000-120000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Houston, Texas
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Accounting Manager to join their team!
This is a strong opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys ownership, process improvement, and partnering closely with leadership. In this role, you’ll support the financial engine behind a growing subscription-based business, with visibility into monthly close, billing, revenue recognition, and core SaaS metrics. If you like rolling up your sleeves while helping shape scalable finance operations, this role offers a meaningful seat at the table.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts
- Own monthly and annual close activities
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Manage accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets
- Oversee accounts payable and expense management
- Handle customer invoicing and subscription billing
- Track receivables, renewals, upgrades, and cancellations
- Apply revenue recognition and deferred revenue processes
- Prepare financial statements and budget-to-actual reporting
- Support audits, tax filings, and finance process improvements
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Full-cycle accounting and close ownership experience
- SaaS or subscription billing experience
- Working knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition
- Experience with QuickBooks
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
- Experience preparing financial statements and budget reports
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Ramp, Zamp, or Carta
- Multi-state sales tax compliance experience
- Audit, review, or due diligence support experience
- Knowledge of SaaS metrics like ARR, churn, retention, and CAC
- Experience with payroll-related accounting items
- Exposure to process documentation and workflow improvement
