Position: Payroll Compliance Specialist
Compensation: $ 38 – 43 /hour, depending on experience
Location: Kansas City, Missouri
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Payroll Compliance Specialist to join their team!
This is a strong opportunity to step into a high-impact payroll compliance role supporting a major implementation project. You’ll help strengthen payroll processes, manage compliance-related tasks, and contribute to a collaborative team environment where attention to detail and teamwork truly matter.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Support payroll compliance processes and reporting
- Assist with payroll tax and union remittance work
- Review contract details for payroll accuracy
- Help manage complex payroll process backfill needs
- Partner with team members on peer review and quality checks
- Maintain accuracy in a high-volume payroll environment
- Contribute to ongoing payroll and HR implementation efforts
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- At least 5 years of payroll experience
- Experience supporting payroll compliance tasks
- Strong understanding of payroll tax processes
- Experience with union remittances
- Ability to review contracts and related payroll details
- Experience in a high-volume, enterprise environment
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

- Prevailing wage knowledge
- Background in payroll and HR implementation projects
