Position: Aloha POS Engineer
Compensation: $ 35 – 45 /hour, depending on experience
Location: Full Remote
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Aloha POS Engineer to join their team!
This is a strong opportunity for a technically minded support professional who enjoys solving complex POS challenges, improving restaurant technology performance, and keeping critical systems running smoothly. In this contract role, you’ll work across hardware, software, payments, integrations, and support processes to make a direct impact on day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Provide remote support for POS system issues and outages
- Investigate root causes and resolve recurring technical problems
- Support NCR payments and PCI-compliant payment setups
- Install and maintain POS servers, terminals, and printers
- Manage item, price, and database updates
- Reconcile POS and reporting data discrepancies
- Support loyalty, delivery, and catering platform integrations
- Create documentation and knowledge base articles
- Test system changes in lab, QA, and UAT environments
- Assist with Windows imaging for BOH, FOH, and KDS systems
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
- 4+ years in IT support or IT project roles
- 2+ years working with Aloha POS and related tools
- Experience with restaurant technology environments
- Knowledge of payment processing and payment architecture
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Experience supporting technical issues in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Exposure to loyalty or delivery integrations
- Experience supporting kitchen display systems
- Background in hospitality technology
