Position: Tax Coordinator
Compensation: $ 30 – 45 /hour, depending on experience
Location: Houston, Texas
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Tax Coordinator to join their team!
This is a strong opportunity to join a busy indirect tax team supporting critical compliance work across multiple locations. You’ll step into a hands-on role where your expertise in sales and use tax, exemption certificates, and tax administration will make an immediate impact. The position begins onsite for training, with the potential to move into a hybrid schedule once you’re settled in.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Support multi-state sales and use tax compliance.
- Assist with indirect tax audits and documentation.
- Review and validate customer exemption certificates.
- Respond to tax-related emails and branch inquiries.
- Help with business renewals and related administrative tasks.
- Perform mailing, scanning, and filing of tax records.
- Support property tax activities during peak season.
- Apply tax rules within a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 2+ years of indirect tax experience.
- Strong sales and use tax knowledge.
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance.
- Experience reviewing exemption certificates.
- Strong Excel and organizational skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage administrative and tax-related priorities.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Vertex tax software experience.
- Property tax experience.
- Big Four experience.
- Manufacturing industry tax experience.

Other Information:
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Initial onsite training with potential hybrid flexibility.
- Two remote days per week may be available after onboarding.
- Interview process includes a phone screen and in-person interview.
- Contract opportunity expected to last approximately 12 months.
