Position: Ad Valorem Tax Accountant

Compensation: $70,000 – $85,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Ad Valorem Tax Accountant to join their team!

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Prepare and manage property tax returns in applicable jurisdictions
• Review and analyze property tax assessments for accuracy
• Maintain accurate property tax records and depreciation schedules
• Ensure timely compliance with all filing deadlines and payments
• Collaborate with tax authorities on valuation issues and appeals
• Assist with audits and respond to inquiries from taxing authorities
• Analyze changes in asset inventory for tax impact
• Research ad valorem tax laws for ongoing compliance
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide property tax insights
• Support budgeting and forecasting related to tax liabilities

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in property tax or ad valorem tax accounting
• Knowledge of ad valorem tax laws and regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
• Strong analytical and organizational skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with property tax software like PTMS or OneSource
• CPA or CMI certification
• Experience handling complex property portfolios
• Familiarity with fixed asset accounting and ERP systems
