Position: Senior Accountant

Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Overland Park, Kansas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Senior Accountant to join their team!

The role involves complex accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and contributing to month-end close processes. Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Monitor bank accounts and assist with transaction coding
• Process EFT payments for carrier payments
• Reconcile monthly premiums and claims activity
• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
• Assist with MGU activities and accounting data tracking
• Contribute to month-end closing tasks and journal entries
• Mentor and onboard newer team members
• Work closely with the controller on accounting tasks

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting related field
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
• Experience in audit preparation
• GAAP accounting knowledge

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience in insurance-related accounting
• Workday experience
• Knowledge of Self-Funded Health Plans
• Experience with Reinsurance and Stop-Loss accounting
