Position: Buyer

Compensation: $80,000 – $88,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma

This role is open due to the need for a proactive and experienced professional to manage the procurement of lumber and building materials. Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Purchase lumber and building materials to meet demand
• Maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory
• Monitor market trends to inform purchasing decisions
• Develop strong vendor relationships and negotiate terms
• Collaborate with sales and operations for accurate forecasting
• Track orders and ensure timely fulfillment
• Resolve issues with shortages or delivery discrepancies
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and reports
• Identify cost savings and process improvements
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 2+ years in purchasing or inventory management
• Knowledge of lumber grades or construction supply chain
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience in lumber yard or construction supply environment
• Proficiency with inventory management or ERP systems
• Ability to anticipate demand proactively
• Strong business judgment and cost-conscious mindset
