Position: Staff Data Engineer

Compensation: $175,000 – $195,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Staff Data Engineer to join their team!

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a high-impact, senior-level data engineering role supporting a fast-growing organization that is investing heavily in modern data capabilities. You’ll help shape the data foundation, build scalable pipelines, and support teams that rely on clean, reliable data to make smart decisions. Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Design and build scalable data pipelines for operational and analytical needs
• Develop and optimize ETL and ELT workflows
• Integrate source systems with the data warehouse or lake environment
• Create well-structured, maintainable data models and architectures
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data solutions
• Establish data quality, validation, and governance standards
• Monitor performance and resolve pipeline issues proactively
• Support capacity planning and disaster recovery efforts
• Document technical processes, architecture, and operational procedures
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience working with APIs
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric
• Experience building ETL or ELT workflows
• Strong understanding of data modeling and warehousing concepts
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams
• Willingness to support occasional after-hours maintenance as needed

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Oil and gas industry experience
• Upstream data experience, including production or well data
• Experience with SCADA, ERP, or production databases
• Exposure to Azure Data Factory, dbt, Airflow, or similar tools
• Experience mentoring or guiding engineers
• Familiarity with Spark or Hadoop
• Knowledge of Power BI or other BI tools
• Experience with Microsoft Entra or other IAM tools

• Hybrid schedule with onsite presence on Tuesdays and Thursdays
• Bonus target is 20%
