Position: Field Service Engineer

Compensation: $ 70000-80000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Field Service Engineer to join their team!

This is a strong opportunity for a hands-on technical professional who enjoys solving complex equipment challenges and supporting customers directly in the field. You’ll work with advanced analytical X-ray systems, helping keep critical instruments running at peak performance through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. If you’re looking for a role that blends technical depth, customer interaction, and travel, this position delivers a compelling next step.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Perform preventive maintenance on analytical X-ray systems
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using diagnostic tools
• Repair and verify instrument performance after service
• Coordinate customer support calls and on-site visits
• Prepare travel plans and expense reports
• Document service completion and customer acceptance
• Communicate with internal support teams
• Attend product training as required

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years of equipment repair experience
• Background in mechanical, electromechanical, or electronic systems
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Basic understanding of network interfacing
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to travel regularly

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with high voltage circuitry
• Exposure to analog electronics
• Knowledge of vacuum systems
• Familiarity with laser technology
• Experience supporting scientific equipment
• Passport or international travel readiness

Other Information:

• Frequent Monday through Friday travel is required
• Some weekend and holiday work may be needed
• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds is required
• Role involves working directly with customers
• International travel may be required
