Position: Electrical CAD Technician

Compensation: $25 – $30 /hour, depending on experience

Location: Wallingford, CT

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Electrical CAD Technician to join their team!

This is a strong opportunity for a detail-oriented CAD professional who enjoys hands-on drafting work and collaborating with a supportive engineering team. In this role, you’ll help revise and create electrical drawings, follow established drafting standards, and contribute to projects that require accuracy, communication, and steady progress. It’s a great fit for someone looking to grow through mentorship while building practical experience in a well-structured onsite environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Revise existing electrical drawings.
• Create basic component drawings from sketches.
• Prepare drawings from written or verbal direction.
• Plot and publish drawing sets.
• Follow company and client drafting standards.
• Communicate updates clearly with the team.
• Support day-to-day drafting needs as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Coursework in drafting technology or CAD certification.
• At least 1 year of relevant drafting experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good time management and organizational skills.

• Experience with electrical drafting.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn.
• Comfort working in a team-based environment.
