Position: GIS Developer

Compensation: $45 – 55/hour, depending on experience

Location: Houston, Texas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled GIS Developer to join their team!

This is a strong opportunity for a GIS professional who enjoys building practical solutions that support pipeline, facility, land, and regulatory operations. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to improve geospatial data visibility, streamline workflows, and support business-critical decision-making through GIS technology.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Develop and maintain enterprise GIS applications, maps, and services
• Build web, mobile, and desktop geospatial applications
• Automate data conversion, QA/QC, and spatial analysis tasks
• Design, query, and maintain spatial databases
• Integrate GIS tools with enterprise systems and APIs
• Troubleshoot GIS issues and support end users
• Build and support spatial ETL workflows
• Apply spatial analytics to operational and planning decisions
• Support GIS architecture and modernization efforts
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 5–10+ years of GIS development or analysis experience
• Strong experience with Esri ArcGIS Suite
• Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, Server, or Pro
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, C#, or Java
• Experience building GIS solutions with web mapping tools
• Knowledge of ETL methodologies and spatial data workflows
• Experience with spatial databases such as SQL Server or PODS
• Ability to translate business needs into technical GIS solutions
• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geomatics, Computer Science, or related field

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with ArcGIS API development
• Familiarity with Leaflet, OpenLayers, or Mapbox GL
• Experience using FME for spatial ETL
• Exposure to cloud platforms, especially Azure
• Experience supporting energy or pipeline operations
• Background in asset integrity or regulatory GIS workflows
