Position: Data Architect

Compensation: $139,000 – $153,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Kansas City, Missouri

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Data Architect to join their team!

This is a high-impact opportunity for a strategic data professional to shape enterprise data architecture and modernize a growing organization’s data landscape. You’ll play a key role in defining standards, improving data quality, and driving scalable solutions that support analytics, reporting, and future AI initiatives. If you enjoy solving complex data challenges and building repeatable frameworks for long-term success, this role is a strong fit.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Develop and maintain enterprise data strategy, standards, and roadmap
• Establish governance for ownership, quality, access, and retention
• Define canonical models and authoritative data sources
• Create repeatable methods for acquired data profiling and conversion
• Lead future-state architecture for warehouse and analytics platforms
• Set standards for ETL/ELT, APIs, pipelines, and metadata
• Partner with business leaders to resolve data quality issues
• Document data flows, lineage, and integration architecture
• Support modernization, integrations, and system replacement efforts

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
• 8+ years of data architecture, data management, or data engineering experience
• Experience building enterprise data strategies and governance practices
• Strong background in data modeling and data integration
• Experience with data warehousing and relational databases
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT, APIs, pipelines, and security concepts
• Ability to translate business needs into practical architecture
• Experience supporting complex migration or conversion initiatives

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Insurance or financial services experience
• Acquired book-of-business integration experience
• Microsoft SQL Server and Azure data services experience
• Microsoft Fabric and Power BI experience
• Purview and Azure Data Factory experience
• DAMA-DMBOK, TOGAF, or Microsoft certification
