Position: Settlements Manager

Compensation: $70.00 to $80.00 USD per hour, depending on experience

Location: Houston, Texas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Settlements Manager to join their team!

As the Settlements Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the back-office functions for a leading renewable energy company. This position is pivotal to supporting the company's accelerated growth and ensuring the efficient settlement of energy transactions. You will lead a team responsible for analyzing and settling transactions across multiple power markets, providing strategic support for commercial revenue arrangements, and establishing best practices for invoicing and regulatory reporting. This is a temporary position expected to last for at least 12 months, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the transition to renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Oversee analysis and settlement of transactions in US and Canada power markets
• Manage invoicing of counterparties under various commercial power arrangements
• Evaluate commercial power and contractual revenue arrangements
• Establish best practices for settlement and regulatory reporting
• Lead the implementation of bid-to-bill applications for transmission assets
• Support management initiatives and other activities as needed

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, math, or related field
• 10+ years experience in power market and transmission settlements
• 6-8 years in a leadership role demonstrating strategic thinking
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Proficient in deal capture and bid-to-bill settlement systems

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with energy imbalance markets
• Knowledge of renewable energy credits transactions
• Familiarity with CAISO, ERCOT, PJM, SPP, AESO, IESO markets
