Compensation: $140,000-$145,000

IT Disaster Recovery Manager

Inceed has partnered with a large, well-established retail organization to help find a skilled IT Disaster Recovery Manager to join their team!

This role is an exciting opportunity for a strategic leader to drive disaster recovery and incident management across a high-impact, enterprise-scale environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in IT project management, infrastructure/application recovery, and cross-functional crisis response—particularly within a retail context. You’ll play a key role in safeguarding the resilience and operational continuity of a business that touches customers at every stage of the omnichannel journey.

Responsibilities:

• Lead disaster recovery planning and align initiatives with broader business continuity and risk strategies.

• Act as the IT point of contact during crisis events; oversee incident response and recovery efforts in partnership with Crisis Management.

• Plan and execute disaster recovery drills, tabletop exercises, and post-mortem reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Partner with infrastructure, security, and operations teams to strengthen system resilience.

• Develop detailed recovery frameworks, including runbooks, RTOs, and RPOs.

• Ensure compliance with regulations like PCI DSS, GDPR, SOX related to IT recovery and data protection.

• Communicate disaster readiness, incident summaries, and improvement plans to executives and stakeholders.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams during incident responses for cohesive, timely action.

• Manage external vendor partnerships and third-party recovery services.

• Lead recovery projects from planning through successful execution, managing budgets and timelines.

• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and threats to continuously refine DR/IM strategy.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Management, or related field—or equivalent work experience.

• 7–10 years of experience in IT project management, with a strong background in infrastructure and application recovery.

• 3–5 years of experience in incident management, ideally within a large retail environment.

• Strong understanding of business continuity planning, crisis communication, and recovery exercises.

• Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and replication technologies.

• Familiarity with industry standards and tools (Microsoft Project, Jira, etc.).

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills—especially under pressure.

• Industry certifications like PMP, CISSP, ITIL are a plus.
