Compensation: $110,000–$120,000 base + 10% target bonus
Location: Hybrid in Kansas City, MO 
Position: Senior Security Engineer

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Senior Security Engineer to join their team!

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a high-impact, highly visible role within an innovative and growing IT department. The team is experiencing record-breaking growth and needs a senior-level security engineer to help lead their transition from on-premises infrastructure to cloud-based environments, specifically with a focus on Azure. This person will be instrumental in ensuring secure cloud adoption, designing and implementing security solutions, and strengthening their overall security posture.

Responsibilities:
• Take ownership of security architecture and solutions, particularly focused on cloud and hybrid environments
• Design and implement robust, scalable security systems across platforms
• Perform detailed assessments, audits, and risk analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of current security controls
• Create and improve processes, tools, and documentation for secure cloud operations and best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security into project lifecycles
• Monitor and analyze security logs and events for anomalies and potential threats
• Actively contribute to post-incident response and resolution
• Support automation of security operations to drive efficiency
• Maintain compliance with industry security frameworks and regulations

Required Qualifications & Experience:
• 5+ years in information security roles
• Demonstrated experience with cloud security (especially Azure)
• Strong background in designing and implementing enterprise-level security solutions
• Knowledge of NIST, ISO 270XX, and cybersecurity frameworks
• Experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell) and familiarity with multiple platforms (Windows, Linux, Cisco)
• Familiarity with tools such as intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and load balancers

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
• Previous experience with Oracle Cloud ERP security
• Experience in a construction or project-based environment
• Exposure to CMiC or other project management platforms
• Knowledge of security in software development life cycles
• Background in designing secure solutions in multi-client data environments
