This opportunity is perfect for someone who enjoys providing hands-on, deskside support in a corporate environment. The team is looking for a reliable, customer-focused technician to step in and support end users with hardware and software needs. This contract role is set to begin in early June and run through December. You’ll be joining a small, collaborative IT group, supporting a professional and dynamic office where a high level of service and communication is valued.
Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite support for end users, handling hardware and software issues that cannot be resolved remotely
- Set up and configure new hardware for incoming employees, tailored to specific job needs
- Troubleshoot, image, and manage Dell hardware, ensuring necessary software is installed
- Respond to user questions regarding system operations and resolve technical problems efficiently
- Maintain documentation of support issues and actions taken
- Partner with vendors to resolve technical and logistical issues in-person or virtually
- Provide basic support for A/V systems, including Logitech Tap devices
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Associate’s degree in a computer-related field or equivalent technical training
- 5+ years of experience in desktop support or similar IT role
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Familiarity with Active Directory, SCCM, ServiceNow, AppV, Citrix, PowerShell, and BitLocker
- Understanding of desktop configuration management and internet directory services
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, circuit boards, and processors
