Position: Data Governance Engineer

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Data Governance Engineer to join their team!

Are you passionate about clean, secure, and accessible data? Join our team as a Data Governance Engineer and help shape the framework that ensures our data is accurate, trusted, and compliant across the enterprise. We’re looking for a detail-oriented and technically curious professional with proven metadata management experience to help drive policy development, process improvements, and enterprise-wide data governance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Establish data policies and procedures for compliance
• Coordinate data governance processes with security and legal teams
• Monitor external trends and define data use cases
• Maintain data catalog repository and data lifecycle management
• Assign data owners and stewards to data assets
• Develop and manage KPIs for board reporting
• Support enterprise data catalog technology
• Perform metadata extraction and SQL reporting
• Manage ticketing systems and identify risks
• Create infographics for complex data communication

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in information science or related field
• 4-6 years of experience in data governance roles
• Strong knowledge of Data Governance operating models
• Experience in Metadata Management
• Proficiency in SQL Server and Query Optimization
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Certifications in Data and Analytics practices
• Ability to create narratives from data findings
• Experience with change management concepts
