Position: Mechanical Engineer III
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Mechanical Engineer III to join their team!
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical engineer to step into a technically challenging and rewarding role with a company known for innovation in industrial thermal systems. This fully onsite position involves working as part of a collaborative Systems Integration Team, focused on the design, integration, and testing of complex combustion systems including burners, boilers, heaters, and fuel trains. This role is perfect for someone who is ready to lead projects, drive design innovation, and make meaningful contributions to the field of industrial energy systems. This position is open due to team growth and an increase in project demand.
Responsibilities:

Design and develop combustion-based mechanical systems including steam boilers, industrial burners, and heater assemblies
-
Create detailed CAD and SolidWorks models, P&IDs, schematics, and BOMs for integration and procurement
-
Oversee system documentation and compliance with engineering and safety codes (NFPA, NEC, ANSI, ISA)

Collaborate with electrical and controls engineering teams to ensure cohesive system functionality

Lead onsite activities including factory acceptance testing (FAT), commissioning, and system troubleshooting
-
Provide mentorship to junior engineers and participate in internal improvement and documentation initiatives
Required Qualifications & Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred), ABET accredited
-
Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical or systems engineering roles
-
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and mechanical drafting including GD&T and machine design
-
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Willingness to travel up to 40% nationwide for site support and commissioning

Must pass safety-sensitive drug test and background check
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

Familiarity with PLC programming

Experience working with burner management systems and process optimization controls

Background with NetSuite or Acumatica ERP systems
-
Previous involvement in mentoring or training junior engineers
