Compensation: $60k – $70k/yr

Position: Staff Accountant

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Staff Accountant to join their team!

This is an incredible opportunity with a publicly traded leader in the solid waste services industry. This entry-level accounting role is not just about numbers—it’s a launching pad into leadership, with a clear path to becoming a Controller within three years. Unlike traditional accounting roles, this position allows you to engage with operations, sales, and customer service, giving you full visibility into the business. If you’re someone who thrives on learning, wants to make a real impact, and doesn’t want to be stuck in a cubicle, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, annual budgets, audits, and system implementations

• Support operations personnel with daily, weekly, and monthly metric calculations

• Partner closely with District Managers to help drive strategy and operational improvements

• Gain hands-on experience in core accounting as well as business decision-making processes

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)

• Strong work ethic and a self-starter mentality with the initiative to learn

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in an accounting-related role

• Exposure to operational or cross-functional business environments

• Interest in relocating long-term for accelerated advancement opportunities
