Position: Settlements Analyst

Compensation: $100,000 – $125,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Houston, Texas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Settlements Analyst to join their team!

Join a leading renewable energy company dedicated to transitioning the world to sustainable energy. As a Settlements Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in managing market settlements and monitoring market-based activities. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key liaison between various departments and contribute to the company's mission of providing clean energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Analyze power market services agreements and related charges
  • Verify and evaluate power and market statements
  • Reconcile counterparty commodity invoices with Energy Trade Management System
  • Monitor and analyze impact of rate changes on charges
  • Ensure timely payment of power market invoices
  • Manage reporting of transmission and market-related activities
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve billing disputes
  • Support accurate accounting and financial reporting
  • Assist with internal control compliance duties

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in settlements group and accounting at a US public company
  • Experience reviewing ISO/RTO invoice charges
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in renewable energy industry or regulated utility
  • Knowledge of Energy Imbalance Market Bilateral settlements
  • Familiarity with energy management systems
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
