Position: Assistant Controller

Compensation: $120,000 – $135,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Houston, Texas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Assistant Controller to join their team!

Join a dynamic and growing distribution company with a strong team culture. You'll be at the forefront of technical accounting and process improvement, making a significant impact during this exciting growth phase.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Prepare and post journal entries
• Perform account and bank reconciliations
• Handle fixed asset accounting and transactions
• Manage three-way match for invoices and purchase orders
• Review inventory and purchase order receipts
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Support internal audits and ensure GAAP compliance
• Collaborate for accurate financial reporting
• Provide guidance to accounting team

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience with general ledger accounting
• Proficient in ERP/accounting systems and Excel
• Hands-on and detail-oriented

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• CPA certification
• Background in distribution or manufacturing
• Experience in inventory-heavy environments
