Compensation: $55,000 – $75,000

Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Position: General Ledger Accountant
 
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled General Ledger Accountant to join their team!

This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong accounting foundation who enjoys maintaining the integrity of financial records and statements. The selected candidate will be working with a collaborative accounting team and will be responsible for ensuring accurate ledger activity, supporting reporting efforts, and contributing to financial close processes. The role offers the chance to contribute to process improvements and play a key part in driving accurate, compliant financial operations.
 
Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain the accuracy of the general ledger, ensuring transactions are properly recorded
• Prepare and enter journal entries for monthly adjustments, accruals, and other routine accounting needs
• Assist with financial close activities across monthly, quarterly, and annual periods
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and research discrepancies when they arise
• Generate financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Provide support for internal budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors by supplying necessary documentation
• Maintain compliance with accounting policies and applicable regulations
• Recommend and support improvements to accounting processes and workflows
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure transactions are captured accurately
• Maintain detailed and organized financial documentation

 
Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in general ledger or related accounting roles
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and reconciliation practices

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Familiarity with accounting standards such as GAAP or IFRS
• Experience with ERP or accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical thinking
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize in a dynamic environment
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities
