Compensation: $85,000-$119,000

Location: Castle Rock, CO

Position: OT Systems Administrator 

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled OT Systems Administrator to join their team!

This is a long-term, stable role with a strong focus on professional growth, cross-training, and staying current with OT cybersecurity standards. You’ll have the opportunity to shape how OT systems are managed and secured for years to come.

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily server and system support for the utility’s SCADA/ICS infrastructure.

• Maintain and test OT disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure resilience during outages or security incidents.

• Manage OT server infrastructure, including preventative maintenance, patching, and system backups.

• Support and configure firewall systems, wireless access points, and virus protection across critical systems.

• Administer Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, SQL Server, and virtualized server environments (VMware).

• Support the organization’s SAN (Storage Area Network) and backup/archiving systems.

• Collaborate with IT security teams to maintain cybersecurity compliance and implement zero-trust architectures.

• Participate in the design and ongoing improvement of industrial systems, aligning with cybersecurity standards such as ISA/IEC 62443 and NERC CIP.

• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans on OT networks and systems.

• Mentor Instrument and Control Technicians and contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing.

• Stay current with technology trends and contribute to the evolution of the utility’s OT landscape.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with OT/ICS systems in a mid-size or complex environment.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft server infrastructure, Active Directory, and patch management.

• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware.

• Solid understanding of SCADA communications (OPC-UA, OPC-DA, LAN/WAN).

• Familiarity with backup strategies, SAN management, and OS hardening.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• VMware, Microsoft, or Cisco certifications.

• Experience with SCADA software platforms (e.g., FactoryTalk View SE).

• Exposure to cybersecurity standards like NERC CIP, ISA/IEC 62443, or AWWA guidelines.

• Understanding of storage protocols (iSCSI, NFS) in virtual environments.

• Prior experience supporting OT networks in a water, energy, or manufacturing environment.
