Position: Security Systems Engineer

Compensation: $55 – $75 /hour

Location: Denver, Colorado

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Security Systems Engineer to join their team!

Join a dynamic IT team as a Security Systems Engineer responsible for safeguarding a diverse technology ecosystem. This opportunity arises from the need to backfill a sys admin position, now upgraded to engineer level, focusing on system design and cybersecurity maturity. Collaborate with a passionate team in a hybrid work environment, with occasional on-site team engagements.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Design and deploy complex security systems and procedures
• Enhance system configurations and remediate vulnerabilities
• Act as an escalation point for technical incidents
• Evaluate and update security policies and firewall rules
• Ensure system compliance with security benchmarks
• Document IT infrastructure and supported systems

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 5+ years in administration or engineer roles
• Expertise in firewalls, encryption, and endpoint protection
• Strong knowledge of security best practices and frameworks
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure
• Proficiency in networking concepts and protocols

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Relevant certifications like AZ-500, AZ-800, SC-100
• Experience with data protection and DR technologies
• Knowledge of virtualization and HCI technologies
