Position: Senior Internal Auditor
Compensation: $ 103,000 – 107,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Full Remote, must sit in DFW and be willing to come onsite 1x/month.
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Senior Internal Auditor to join their team!
Join a dynamic and collaborative team as a Senior Internal Auditor, where you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of internal audits. This role offers a unique chance to build and enhance the internal audit function from the ground up. As a key player in a team of four, you will report to the Financial Operations Manager and work closely with leadership to establish and promote internal audit practices. This is a remote role with monthly onsite meetings in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area. The company is focused on being “SOX forward,” and you’ll play a crucial role in their journey. Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Develop and execute a risk-based audit plan
- Evaluate financial and operational procedures
- Identify control gaps and process improvements
- Participate in all aspects of audits, including testing and documentation
- Monitor implementation of audit recommendations
- Prepare reports for senior management and Audit Committee
- Assist in enterprise risk assessment and annual audit plan
- Conduct fraud investigations as needed
- Collaborate with project management teams on control design
- Build relationships with business leaders and staff
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar field
- Three plus years in public accounting or internal auditing
- Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Professional certification (CPA or CIA)
- Experience in the healthcare industry
- Experience in public sector
