Position: QA Engineer

Compensation: $70 – $90 /hr

Location: Kansas City, Missouri

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Design and implement test strategies for data platforms and APIs.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate testing into data pipelines.
• Create, execute, and automate test cases for data validation.
• Document test results and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage defect tickets with clear reproduction steps.
• Perform integration, regression, and performance testing.
• Build automated testing frameworks for CI/CD pipelines.
• Validate instrumentation and logging for observability.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies to enhance delivery workflows.
• Research and implement new testing technologies.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 4+ years of development or QA testing experience.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and testing approaches.
• Experience with test automation frameworks.
• Proficiency in a programming or scripting language.
• Familiarity with API testing tools and data platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and agile practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with cloud environments like GCP or Snowflake.
• Familiarity with messaging/streaming platforms like Kafka.
• Knowledge of application performance monitoring tools.
• Relevant certifications like ISTQB.
