Position: Controller

Compensation: $200,000 – $240,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Houston, Texas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Controller to join their team!

Step into a pivotal role where you’ll lead financial reporting, internal controls, and back-office operations for a dynamic trading environment. This is your chance to ensure integrity, accuracy, and compliance in financial processes while overseeing relationships with external service providers.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Oversee internal control compliance programs
• Coordinate with external auditors for reviews and audits
• Provide technical accounting guidance on IFRS pronouncements
• Manage IFRS 16 lease accounting and HR payroll accounting
• Lead monthly hydrocarbon accounting close
• Ensure timely physical and financial settlements
• Supervise contract reviews and confirmations
• Lead cash forecasting and variance analysis
• Collaborate on finance system improvements
• Manage external service providers

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Certified Public Accountant certification
• 10+ years in accounting/finance
• 5+ years in commodities trading or oil & gas
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and hydrocarbon accounting
• Proficiency in SAP and RightAngle
• Experience leading teams with board-level presentation skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with system migrations and automation
• Public accounting background
• Project management experience
