Position: Tax Accountant

Compensation: $ 80,000 – $ 90,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Lenexa, Kansas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Tax Accountant to join their team!

This opportunity offers a chance to work on diverse tax-related tasks, including filing returns and assisting in audits. The position is open due to expanding needs, and the company is eager to welcome a proactive and detail-oriented professional.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns accurately and timely
• Respond to jurisdictional inquiries and resolve correspondence
• Advise management on compliance with tax regulations
• Perform tax account reconciliations and resolve exceptions
• Assist with tax audits with minimal disruptions
• Prepare income tax apportionment and provision work papers
• Support branch operations with excellent customer service

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in accounting or relevant experience
• Experience with sales and use tax compliance in multistate environments
• Ability to interpret tax requirements for a jurisdiction
• Proficiency in Microsoft AX, CCH-Sales Tax Office, and Microsoft D365
• Strong personal computer skills, including Excel and Word

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with Federal, State, Income, and Franchise Tax
• Previous tax research experience (CCH, BNA, RIA)
• Familiarity with Thompson Reuters Determination
