Position: SCADA Systems Engineer

Compensation: $120,000 – $135,000 

Location: Houston, Texas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled SCADA Systems Engineer to join their team!

Join an innovative team as a SCADA Systems Engineer in Houston, Texas. This role is crucial in maintaining and supporting the SCADA and control systems, ensuring seamless data communication across the organization. With a hands-on approach, you'll be part of a dynamic environment focused on operational excellence and system optimization. This position has opened due to leadership changes and offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Administer and support SCADA and control systems
• Ensure proper installation and operation of data historians
• Manage SCADA processes and enterprise-level reporting
• Set up user access and security roles for SCADA systems
• Implement disaster recovery processes
• Assist in new software/system implementations
• Investigate and resolve service requests and incidents
• Provide technical direction and assistance
• Monitor application backlog and update open items
• Perform ADD / MOVE / CHANGE tasks in SCADA systems
• Create and modify screens for system operations
• Add new field assets like plungers and devices
• Resolve data gaps and communication failures
• Collaborate on potential future projects like system mergers

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience with Cygnet SCADA platform
• Strong hands-on experience in oil & gas SCADA systems
• Ability to troubleshoot device-level communication issues
• 5+ years supporting SCADA applications and data historians
• 5+ years in SCADA protocols and data communications
• 3+ years with Windows Server and Client OS
• Experience in application development
• Fully onsite work requirement

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with Cygnet upgrades
• Understanding of backend infrastructure
• Exposure to SCADA system design
• Experience with acquisitions and divestitures
• Scripting experience within Cygnet (.NET or legacy scripting)
