Position: Cost Analyst

Compensation: $60 – $70 /hour, depending on experience

Location: Midland, Texas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Cost Analyst to join their team!

Join a dynamic team where you’ll monitor and analyze costs in midstream operations, ensuring cost efficiency across projects. This is your chance to dive into a role that supports budgeting processes and drives financial insights in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Track and analyze OPEX and CAPEX across midstream assets
• Prepare monthly variance analyses against budget and forecast
• Develop and maintain annual budgets and rolling forecasts
• Monitor project costs, ensuring budget alignment
• Analyze cost drivers like labor, maintenance, and fuel
• Provide insights into cost per unit metrics
• Support capital project planning and cost control
• Build financial models and dashboards
• Collaborate to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure data accuracy within financial systems

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
• 5+ years in cost analysis or financial analysis
• Strong understanding of budgeting and forecasting
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced environments

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with pipeline or terminal operations
• Exposure to capital project accounting
• Understanding of throughput-based cost structures
