Position: Piping Designer

Compensation: $45 – $50 /hour, depending on experience

Location: Kansas City, Missouri

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Piping Designer to join their team!

Join an innovative engineering consultant firm, specializing in natural gas projects. As a Piping Designer, you’ll support mechanical engineers in designing and laying out piping systems for natural gas projects. This role offers a chance to lead diverse projects and make impactful contributions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Prepare planning, proposals, and site evaluations
• Develop analytical designs and construction documentation
• Lead project teams with diverse portfolios
• Produce PFDs and P&IDs from design engineer descriptions
• Plan and develop production work drawings
• Execute piping design assignments using standard techniques
• Analyze reports, drawings, and tests for project planning
• Review design drawings for quality assurance
• Compute calculations for layouts and schematics
• Maintain project-related information logically

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s in drafting technology or related field
• Minimum 7 years of related experience
• Advanced design software skills: AutoCAD, Plant3D, CADWorx
• Proficient in 2D and 3D engineering applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with Revit software
• Knowledge of piping design codes and specifications
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
