Position: Director of Software Engineering

Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: The Woodlands, Texas

As the Director of Software Engineering, you will lead strategic AI initiatives, driving innovation and growth. This role offers the chance to shape the company's reputation as an AI leader while building strong engineering teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Define and lead enterprise AI strategy
• Architect and champion AI vision
• Oversee AI/ML initiatives from proof-of-concept to production
• Ensure governance, compliance, and ethical AI practices
• Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams
• Champion MLOps and responsible AI frameworks
• Write and review production-level code
• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies
• Lead enterprise-wide change management for AI adoption

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years in Data platforms, AI, ML, or advanced analytics
• 5+ years in senior leadership or enterprise strategy roles
• Proven track record of delivering AI solutions
• Experience with cloud platforms and AI/ML tools
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML techniques
• Exceptional communication and influence skills
• Strategic thinker with strong business acumen

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience in insurance or financial services
• Background in cloud platforms and development frameworks
• Experience leading digital transformation initiatives
• Cloud, architecture, or Agile certifications preferred
