Position: Software Integration Specialist

Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Houston, Texas

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for internal and customer-facing surveillance applications
• Provide Tier 3 technical support for surveillance and application-related issues
• Lead API integration efforts across in-house and third-party platforms (REST/SOAP APIs)
• Work with data formats such as JSON and XML to enable system communication
• Design and support data flows, including ETL processes, across multiple systems
• Build and maintain dashboards and data visualizations (e.g., Grafana or similar tools)
• Support and troubleshoot Video Management Systems (VMS) and camera platforms
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, operations, and field teams
• Assist in developing product feature roadmaps and evaluating third-party tools
• Participate in system design, feasibility analysis, and product development lifecycle
• Maintain technical documentation and deliver training to internal teams
• Support R&D initiatives, including both hardware and software integrations
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in systems integration, application support, or backend/API-focused roles
• Hands-on experience working with APIs (RESTful, SOAP) and integration concepts
• Experience with integration tools or messaging systems (e.g., Apache Kafka, MuleSoft, BizTalk, or similar)
• Strong understanding of data formats (JSON, XML) and data transformation
• Experience working with databases and SQL for data manipulation and reporting
• Exposure to ETL processes and data pipeline concepts
• Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP also acceptable)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across distributed systems
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with Grafana, Kibana, Splunk, or similar dashboarding/monitoring tools
• Exposure to Video Management Systems (VMS) or surveillance technologies
• Experience with IoT, hardware-integrated systems, or edge devices
• Background in security/surveillance, energy, or industrial environments
• Understanding of enterprise integration patterns and best practices
