Position: Senior Controls Engineer

Compensation: $80 – $110 /hour, depending on experience

Location: Boulder, Colorado

Inceed has partnered with a innovative green energy start up company to help find a skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join their team!

As a Senior Controls Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in designing and building data acquisition and process control systems for chemical processing. Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Design and maintain electrical, instrumentation, and control systems
• Own lifecycle of control system design from concept to handover
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define system requirements
• Lead integration efforts for PLC/HMI/SCADA systems
• Perform installation, configuration, and site acceptance testing
• Identify process optimization opportunities
• Program and troubleshoot Siemens S7 PLCs and Ignition HMI & SCADA
• Develop electrical design packages in SolidWorks Electrical

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 8+ years of industry experience in controls and data acquisition
• 3+ years of PLC programming experience
• Advanced experience with instrumentation such as voltage and temperature
• Strong knowledge of electrical design and industrial power distribution
• Proficiency with industrial automation communication protocols
• High level programming experience in C/C++/C#, Python, or Javascript
• Experience implementing industrial electrical safety programs
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
• Proficiency with Siemens S7, Ignition, SolidWorks Electrical, and SQL databases
• Experience in chemical processing or industrial manufacturing
• Experience with control panel design per UL 508A
